1. General Conditions

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. You understand that your content (not including credit card information) may be transferred unencrypted over various networks. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.

2. Product Standards & "Grade A" Definition

Family Walker Tech specializes in high-quality, pre-owned electronics.

  • Grade A Standards: All units designated as "Grade A" are certified to be in near-mint cosmetic condition with minimal signs of previous use.
  • Functional Guarantee: Every Grade A device undergoes a multi-point inspection to ensure 100% hardware functionality before shipment.

3. 30-Day Limited Hardware Warranty

We stand behind our products. All Grade A pre-owned laptops include a 30-Day Limited Hardware Warranty starting from the date of delivery.

  • What is covered: Internal hardware failures (Motherboard, RAM, SSD, Screen, Integrated Keyboard/Trackpad).
  • Battery Life: We guarantee that Grade A batteries will hold at least 80% of their original design capacity.
  • What is NOT covered: * Accidental damage (liquid spills, drops, cracked screens after delivery).
    • Software issues, including operating system corruption or virus infections.
    • Any device that has been opened, repaired, or modified by a third party.
    • Data loss (please back up your files regularly).

4. Returns and Refunds

  • Defective Units: If a hardware defect is identified within 30 days, we will first attempt to repair or replace the unit. If a replacement is unavailable, a full refund will be issued.
  • Change of Mind: We offer a [7 or 14]-day return window for non-defective items. These returns may be subject to a 15% restocking fee, and the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Condition: Items must be returned in the exact condition they were received, including all chargers and accessories.

5. Limitation of Liability

Family Walker Tech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our products. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption. Our maximum liability to you shall not exceed the purchase price of the product.

6. User Data and Privacy

Purchasing from us requires providing personal information (Name, Address, Email). We use this data strictly for order fulfillment and customer support. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

7. Governing Law

Our 10-Day "Peace of Mind" Return Policy

At Family Walker Tech, we want you to be 100% confident in your new-to-you computer. We know that as a student or small business owner, your tech needs to be a perfect fit. If it’s not the right match, we’re here to help.

The Basics:

  • 10-Day Window: You have 10 calendar days from the date your computer is delivered to make sure it’s exactly what you need.
  • Condition: To be eligible for a full refund, the computer must be in the same condition you received it—clean, undamaged, and with no hardware modifications.
  • Complete Package: Please include all original power cords, accessories, and any paperwork that came in the box.

How to Start a Return:

  1. Reach Out: Send an email to our family at familywalkertech.help@outlook.com within the 10-day window.
  2. Pack it Up: Securely pack the computer back in its original box (or an equally sturdy one) to ensure it stays safe on its way back to us.
  3. Ship it Back: Once we receive the item and do a quick check to make sure everything is in order, we will process your refund immediately.

A Few Small Notes:

  • Shipping Costs: Unless the return is due to a hardware defect covered by our warranty, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Data First: Please remember to wipe your personal files before sending the computer back! We care about your privacy and will perform a data wipe upon arrival as well.
  • Restocking Fee: In some cases, a small restocking fee may apply if the item is returned missing parts or with significant cosmetic changes.

Our Goal: We aren't a giant faceless corporation. If you’re having trouble with your setup, please reach out to us first! Many times, our family can help you troubleshoot a problem over the phone or email so you don't have to deal with the hassle of a return.
